Not much research has been done on the reasons for sparrow extinction from cities. Lack of food might be one reason, but cell phone tower radiation, etc. might as well be another. With cell towers occupying rural areas as well, I am not sure how much of a chance sparrows have. But we will eventually pay a price for all this greed. I am sure.Destination Infinity

There are two different things that one achieves by pursuing some difficult goal - Success (and with it, satisfaction), Failure (and with it, learning). Now, how much learning is enough learning? If one knows the answer to that question, life will become simpler. Secondly, quitting after becoming successful is also an option - There is nothing more to learn and one doesn't get addicted to success/adulation, as well. If the goal is big/challenging enough, there is no way one can (...)

All of us are cricket lovers when we were young. We used to wait for days in anticipation of a cricket match (but only on TV, we didn't go to the stadium). I used to wonder what would happen if a cricket match was there just before the day of an exam! Excellent article. What you say is true. There is another aspect to this - People who feel guilty of ignoring/forgetting their mothers might celebrate Mother's day just to get off their guilt or show to others how *fakefully* caring they are about their mothers! But, commerce drives civilization and we can't refuse it. The card companies benefit even during occasions like birthday and new year's day. Moving in troops into others territory (like this) will invite a lot of backlash from various countries across the world. If China continues such silly negotiation tactics, some other countries might take advantage of the situation. Not surprising since bribing Gods is one of our favorite past-time. When people are young, they feel that conditions abroad are ideal. The common thread I found in all those kids (who are grown up now) is, they are ignoring the person who brought them up. Of course, he is self sufficient and his own son is living with them, but the attitude of the other kids is shocking. How can one not show any gratitude to people who brought them
