Author : Artnavy      Blog : The not-so artful dodger      Date : 6/20/2013 2:30:00 AM

'The friendly dog at my maama's place in Albany. Anush loved him.I have never been for pets at home. But there is so much private lawn space in all these homes that it works out well. Adi was terrified of Rudy.Only one of them could be in the room at a time!! Wanted to make a note so that we can see how they are with each other on the next trip- whenever it happens.'

'We loved the waterbodies on our trip- lakes, streams, waterfalls, ponds....just about everywhere and so clean.Park , Lake and theme all came together at Canobie Lake Park - an apt intro to adventure parks for Adi.She was not afraid at all and had her eyes wide open on the very swift adult water slide ( I accomapnied her on that one alone) Anush as expected had a great time with her cousins.Navy and my high was eating a snack called " Fried Dough" in the chill, wet weather.'

'Of course while in Boston we visited Harvard and MIT and enjoyed the Peabody Museum. We even went for a Veena concert. The kids had great fun with their cousins. In terms of outings, the Duck Tour and the USS Constitution gets our family vote. The first is a quirky, witty guided tour on a converted army truck on road and on water. The girls also took "turns at the wheel" while on the river. The latter has lots of activities to let kids and adults interact and understand the nuance(...)'

'I belive all these days are more of a commercial venture. I would think everyday is everybody's day, we need to love our treasured ones like there is no tomorrow. However, I chanced on an interesting contest on pictures of dad with their kidsI tried to recollect my favourite pic with my father- there are not too many pics since he was behind the camera for most part.I love the one taken at my wedding, during the thaali. I could not see him then as I was seated on his lap. When the pic(...)'

'Had a nice cosy session at Easy Lib. Surprised to see such few people know of the awesome Karadi Rhymes. More pics at Art's Tales. In other news, Anush and Adi have begun sleeping in their own room by themselves.Very proud of  Adi and for Anush - slow but steady progress.Anush is a pillar of strength for Adi and I see her constantly helping her overcome fears. The other day the bouncy castle that seemed so intimidating to Adi became a wonderful experience thanks to Anushka.'
