'Hello everybody from sunny London! We’re so glad to be back here after five long years, our first trip back since we relocated to India. Right now the sun has been out everyday and while it is still a little chilly, the weather could not have been lovelier. This is our first trip with our four year old and we’re doing the rounds of dinosaurs, parks and zoos. And of course, MAJOR plans to visit Thomas the Tank Engine as well! We’re renting a house for our little stay and (...)'

'I came across Punjammies on the Bright Side Project site and fell in love instantly, first with the concept and then with the name (how clever!). The story of how Punjammies came about is incredible and here’s what their website says: In February of 2005, International Princess™ Project founder Shannon Keith went on a trip to India that opened her eyes to devastation of lives happening on the streets and in the brothels. After visiting a red-light district, she could not forget wh(...)'

'Vignettes play a big role in a room that looks put together. For some people, creating compelling vignettes comes easy. For others, it is hard work with much moving around and plotting involved. I confess I’m still learning. I even have a Pinterest board dedicated to the subject. via Lonny I came across this handy tutorial on Lonny on how to create interesting vignettes in your home. From finding the right object, to creating a theme and adding texture, this list has a lot of hand(...)'

'I love metal trunks and vintage suitcases not only for their storage possibilities but also for the splash of colour they add to any room. In India, hand-painted metal trunks are sold on street corners. Designs range from floral to mythological. The colours are bold and primary, with hints of neon. via via via via This is an unusual pattern for a trunk… via Personally, I’m rather partial to solid colours without any designs on them. Love this hue… via and these ice(...)'

'I spotted this house over on 79ideas and was instantly smitten.Interior designer Rose Uniacke calls this amazing space home and the reason it appealed to me so much because I can see our own 200-year old home looking like this with a little (lot) TLC and a huge injection of cash (of course). A dash of turmeric yellow against a white palette with generous touches of black and an accent colour like baby pink – this would be a refreshing colour scheme for our living room. A chandelier (...)'
